Work description

Join the Interfacing Quantum Systems Laboratory (IQS) at the Walther Meissner Institute in Munich. We're a collaborative team focused on quantum measurement and control of superconducting qubits. Our institute is located in a dynamic, multidisciplinary research environment at the Technical University of Munich Research Campus in Garching, one of Europe's most advanced centers for research and education, featuring internationally renowned programs in quantum science and technology.You'll work in a supportive team environment with opportunities to engage with the broader quantum research community in Munich. We are offering a 3-month internship offering hands-on experiments on a quantum processor, with a primary focus on superconducting qubit readout.Role:You will work closely with our team to operate measurement workflows, run experiments, and analyze data, gaining practical exposure to the experimental setup and day-to-day lab processes in superconducting quantum hardware research. The role will involve analyzing measurement data and contributing to improving experiment scripts and measurement routines.Requirements:Background in physics, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field. You should bring strong programming experience and familiarity with basic concepts in quantum computing. A strong interest in learning about experimental work and an ability to work both independently and in a team.
