Work description
This project is focused on the development and optimization of feedstock powders for powder bed fusion (PBF) additive manufacturing from highly viscous thermoplastics. The main focus is on polymer aging and additive enhancement of PBF feedstocks to improve their processing stability and long-term properties. In addition, approaches towards feedstock powders showing flame retardancy are being researched in order to expand the range of applications of PBF parts.We offer an interdisciplinary research environment at the interface of polymer chemistry, materials science and engineering. Close collaboration with the supervisory team and active involvement in ongoing research activities create an ideal environment for acquiring in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the field of polymer-based additive manufacturing.
